The Shuttle Notes mill uses vintage shuttle looms that weave fabric slowly and precisely, just as it was done decades ago. Unlike modern high-speed machines, these looms take their time, resulting in a dense yet breathable fabric with a natural irregularity and depth of texture.
Shuttle Notes cotton holds its shape well while gradually becoming softer with wear. It ages beautifully: creases, fades, and signs of use don’t diminish the garment, but instead give it more character over time.
We’ve additionally treated the fabric with a washing process to create an immediate sense of lived-in history. The result is a material that combines Japanese precision, vintage aesthetics, and everyday comfort.
